Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains how Seven Layers (“we”, “us”) handles your personal data when you use this website or get in touch. We are a remote-first studio working with clients worldwide, and we apply the same standard to everyone who contacts us, wherever you are: we collect the minimum we need, we tell you what we do with it, and we honour your rights over it.
What we collect
When you submit our contact, quote, or estimate form we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name, and the contents of your message. We do not collect special-category data, and we do not ask for payment details through this site.
Why we can use it (lawful bases)
Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, ours are: your consent when you choose to send us a message; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our services; and performance of a contract where you go on to engage us. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
How we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote or estimate, and deliver services you ask us for. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted processors to run the site and handle enquiries — our hosting provider, our database provider, and our email provider — who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements and only on our instructions.
International transfers
Because we work remotely with clients across the world, your data may be processed in a country other than your own — including by the providers above. Where data protected by UK/EU law is transferred outside those areas, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or on transfers to countries recognised as providing adequate protection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, to deliver and account for our work, after which it is deleted.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. To exercise any of these, email hello@sevenlayers.online and we will respond within one month.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Residents of other jurisdictions with comparable laws may exercise the equivalent rights using the same contact address.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses only the cookies needed to work. One stores the currency and colour theme you pick so the site remembers them, and one records the currency suggested for your region — none of these identify you or follow you to other sites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics, we use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free tool that records aggregate visits without profiling individuals, which is why you are not asked to accept tracking cookies here.
